1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of booking services provided by Philippine Tourism Guide Booking Services (“we,” “our,” or “us”) through our websites, including but not limited to MalapascuaDivingAdventures.com (collectively referred to as “the Websites”). By using any of our Websites or making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Role as a Booking Agent
Philippine Tourism Guide Booking Services acts solely as a booking agent for third-party service providers, including but not limited to dive shops, accommodation providers, transport operators, and other travel-related services (“Service Providers”). We facilitate bookings between travelers and Service Providers; however, we do not own, operate, or control these services.
3. Limitation of Liability
a) Philippine Tourism Guide Booking Services is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, deaths, property damage, delays, cancellations, or other issues that may arise during your travel or while using any booked services.
b) We do not provide warranties or guarantees regarding the safety, quality, reliability, or suitability of services provided by third-party operators.
c) Any disputes, claims, or liabilities related to the services provided must be resolved directly between the traveler and the Service Provider.
4. Travel Insurance Recommendation
We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers diving, medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost baggage, and any other unforeseen events. It is your responsibility to ensure that your insurance policy is adequate for your planned activities.
5. Medical & Fitness Requirements
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically and physically fit to participate in any activities booked through our Websites, including but not limited to scuba diving, snorkeling, and adventure travel. Certain activities may have specific health and certification requirements, such as dive medical clearance or proof of diving experience. If you have any medical conditions, are pregnant, or are taking medication that may affect your ability to participate safely, you should consult a doctor before booking.

a) Bookings may be subject to the payment and cancellation policies of individual Service Providers. Please review these policies carefully before making a reservation.
b) Philippine Tourism Guide Booking Services is not responsible for refunds, cancellations, or changes imposed by Service Providers. Any such requests must be handled directly with the respective Service Provider.
7. Assumption of Risk
By booking through Philippine Tourism Guide Booking Services, you acknowledge that diving, travel, and other adventure activities involve inherent risks. You agree to participate at your own risk and assume full responsibility for any consequences that may arise.

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information about the services listed on our Websites. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any descriptions, pricing, schedules, or availability, as these are subject to change by the Service Providers.

-We will arrange a private transfer from Mactan-Cebu International Airport or from your accomodation directly to Maya Port
-From Maya Port, we'll take you in a private boat to Malapascua Island.
By Private Transport:
-Take a taxi or private car from Mactan-Cebu International Airport to Maya Port in Daanbantayan, Cebu. This journey takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
-From Maya Port, board a public or private boat to Malapascua Island. The boat ride typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on sea conditions.
By Public Transport:
-Take a taxi or private car from Mactan-Cebu International Airport to the North Bus Terminal in Cebu City.
-Board a Ceres Bus bound for Maya Port in Daanbantayan. The bus journey takes approximately 4 to 5 hours.
-From Maya Port, take a public or private boat to Malapascua Island.
1. What Makes Malapascua a Unique Diving Destination?
Malapascua is famous for its thresher sharks, which can be seen year-round at Kimud Shoal. The island also offers diverse dive sites, including shipwrecks, beautiful coral gardens, and vibrant marine life. Divers can explore everything from tiny critters like pygmy seahorses to majestic creatures like manta rays.
2. When is the Best Time to Dive in Malapascua?
You can dive in Malapascua all year round, but the best conditions are typically between November and May. During these months, the sea is calmer, and visibility is at its peak. However, the thresher sharks can be spotted throughout the year, making Malapascua a great destination any time.
3. What Dive Sites Should I Not Miss?
Kimud Shoal: The best place to see thresher sharks during early morning dives.
Gato Island: Known for its underwater tunnel and a haven for white-tip reef sharks.
Kimud Shoal: Offers encounters with hammerhead sharks.
Lighthouse: A popular spot for night dives and seeing mating mandarin fish.
Doña Marilyn Wreck: An excellent site for exploring a sunken ferry covered in corals.
4. What Certification Do I Need to Dive in Malapascua?
For most dive sites, you’ll need at least an Open Water Diver certification. However, to dive at Kimud Shoal to see the thresher sharks, an Advanced Open Water Diver certification is recommended due to the deeper depths but Open Water Diver Certified are still able to dive with requirements to do a deep dive or a private guide.
5. Are There Dive Shops and Schools on the Island?
Yes, Malapascua has several reputable dive shops and schools that offer various courses, from beginner to advanced levels. Many of them are PADI-certified and provide rental gear, guided dives, and professional instructors.
6. How Safe is Diving in Malapascua?
Diving in Malapascua is generally safe, thanks to the experienced dive operators and guides. It’s essential to follow the instructions of your dive master, check your equipment, and always dive within your limits. Emergency services and decompression chambers are available in Cebu City if needed.
